With the recent entry into force of Annex VI to MARPOL (Air pollution), amendments to normal bunkering routines are needed in order to meet the requirements contained in the Regulations. This Guide highlights specific aspects of the Regulations where potential operational amendments may be needed together with supplying recommended practices to satisfy the objectives of the Regulations as they apply to the bunkering of ships.
